E.J. Mansell Stadium - 2026 Beaver Football 🏈
Dear DuBois Area Beaver Families, Staff, Students, and Fans:
Friday Nights Are Back Under the Lights!
As we prepare for another exciting season of Beaver Football at E.J. Mansell Stadium, the DuBois Area School District has implemented several new guidelines, improvements, and game-day procedures designed to make the experience safer, more organized, and enjoyable for our students, athletes, families, staff, and community.
These changes are the result of extensive planning, coordination, and teamwork among District Administration, the Athletic Department, School Police, Maintenance and Transportation Staff, Event Staff, volunteers, and members of our community.
We ask everyone to take a few minutes to review the information below before arriving at the stadium. A little preparation will help everyone know where to go, reduce congestion, and allow us to focus on what Friday nights are really about - our students, our athletes, and Beaver Pride!
🚗 TRAFFIC FLOW & PARKING
MAIN ENTRANCE: LIBERTY BOULEVARD
The main entrance off Liberty Boulevard is for parking only.
There will be no through-traffic at the main entrance. A separate, designated location is available for passenger and student drop-off.
This change is intended to reduce congestion in an area with significant pedestrian traffic and minimize turning vehicles near pedestrians. By separating parking and passenger drop-off, we can help improve traffic flow, reduce the potential for vehicle-pedestrian conflicts, and create a safer and more organized parking experience for everyone.
Please follow the directions of Event Staff and all posted signage when entering, parking, and exiting the area.
STUDENT DROP-OFF: BEAVER DRIVE
Student and passenger drop-off will take place at the Beaver Drive bus entrance to the Middle School. The Middle School bus entrance will be designated specifically for student and passenger drop-off.
Vehicles will enter through the designated drop-off lane, drop off passengers, and then proceed through the bus lane, driving parallel to Beaver Drive before exiting onto the roadway. This traffic pattern is designed to keep vehicles moving in one direction and reduce the need for vehicles to cross oncoming traffic.
Recommended Approach:
Drivers are encouraged to access the student drop-off area from Liberty Boulevard at Beaver Lane. Vehicles should turn right across from Meadow Lane, (the road behind S&T Bank.) This approach provides a safer and more direct entry into the designated drop-off lane without requiring vehicles to cross opposing traffic.
After dropping off passengers, traffic will continue through the designated route and exit the area. Drivers are encouraged to turn right onto Beaver Drive when exiting rather than making a left turn across oncoming traffic to remain safe.
A sidewalk and designated pedestrian walkways connect the drop-off area to the Main Gate, allowing students and passengers to safely proceed toward the stadium entrance and will be manned by event staff members.
Please follow all posted signage and the directions of Event Staff.
🚌 BUSES
DASD and visiting school buses will use the Middle School road by the soccer field and will remain behind the visitor side bleachers for the duration of the game.
🚦 NEW DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE
New A-frame signs and directional signage have been added throughout the area to help guide drivers, students, visitors, and pedestrians through the new traffic patterns.
Please follow the signs and directions provided by Event Staff.
🎟️ STADIUM ENTRANCES
MAIN GATE INTO E.J. MANSELL STADIUM
The Main Gate will be used for:
- General Admission
- Students in Grades K–8
GRADES 9–12 GATE
A newly established entrance is located near the Band Concession Stand, closest to Hoover Avenue, (the Martin’s Grocery side.)
This entrance is designated for students in Grades 9–12. High School students will then access the High School designated stadium section (Section 2) to watch the game.
👨👩👧 STUDENT ATTENDANCE & SUPERVISION
The safety of our students is a shared responsibility.
GRADES K-7
Students in Grades K-7 must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult must remain inside the stadium for the duration of the student's attendance.
GRADE 8 AND ABOVE
Students in Grade 8 and above may attend the game without an accompanying adult. These requirements are intended to provide appropriate supervision and help ensure that Game Night remains a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT SECTION
Middle school students are permitted to sit in the Middle School Section (Section 8) of the stadium. This designated area is next to the ramp side of the home section. A parent/ guardian must be inside the stadium with their student. Administrators will be on site.
⏰ GATES OPEN AT 6:00 P.M.
Fans will not be permitted to enter the stadium or save seats before the gates officially open. This procedure is intended to provide an orderly and fair entry process for everyone.
🅿️ RESERVED PARKING
Reserved parking behind Mansell Stadium is available by permit or prior authorization only.
A valid permit or authorization is required, and Event Staff will be present to monitor the reserved parking area.
Vehicles may not use this area to drop off students or other fans.
📍 KNOW THE MAP
A game night traffic and stadium map has been created to help patrons navigate the new traffic patterns, parking areas, entrances, and designated drop-off locations.
Please review the map before arriving at the stadium and follow event staff’s directions.
🏟️ STADIUM EXPECTATIONS: RESPECT THE TRADITION. RESPECT THE GAME. RESPECT EACH OTHER.
E.J. Mansell Stadium is a place where families can gather, students can enjoy their school community, and our athletes can compete in an environment that reflects Beaver Pride.
All spectators are expected to help maintain a positive, respectful, and safe environment.
Please follow the following rules and guidelines.
- Please be courteous and respectful and refrain from behavior that interferes with others' ability to enjoy the game.
- Spectators are not permitted on the field unless authorized by school personnel.
- Please do not lean on stair railings or fences.
- Keep walkways clear for safe passage.
- Students in Grade 7 and below must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
- Code of Conduct violations involving DASD students will be reported to District administration for appropriate disciplinary action.
- Students are not permitted in the top three rows of the stadium.
- Students are not permitted to play pick-up games around the stadium.
- Students should not congregate at concession stands.
- Student backpacks are not permitted.
- Bags are discouraged and may be subject to search.
- No re-entry is permitted for adults or students.
- Alcohol, tobacco products, vaping devices, and illegal drugs are prohibited.
- Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives, are prohibited.
- Stadium and school officials reserve the right to ask anyone to leave the stadium for violations of school or stadium rules.
🚫 PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are not permitted inside E.J. Mansell Stadium:
- Wheeled devices, including skateboards, strollers, scooters, bicycles, hoverboards, and similar items
- Gum, food, sunflower seeds, or nuts on the track or turf
- Student backpacks
- Outside food or beverages
- Glass bottles
- Tobacco products and vaping devices
- Drugs or alcohol
- Firearms, knives, explosives, or weapons of any kind
- Drones
- Pets
The stadium and surrounding school property are a drone-free zone area.
Bags are subject to search. Please plan accordingly and leave prohibited items at home.
🚭 SMOKE- & VAPE-FREE PROPERTY
A special reminder for all patrons:
E.J. Mansell Stadium and the surrounding school property are smoke and vape-free. This includes the stadium, parking lots, driveways, walkways, and other areas of school property.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy, family-friendly environment for our athletes, students, families, and community.
🛡️ A SAFER & MORE ENJOYABLE GAME-DAY EXPERIENCE
The new procedures are designed to make arriving at, entering, enjoying, and leaving E.J. Mansell Stadium more organized and predictable for students, families, visiting teams, and fans.
While we certainly do not anticipate problems, responsible planning means preparing for the unexpected.
The District's operational framework brings together parking, traffic flow, crowd management, emergency response, security, communications, staffing, and accountability so our event personnel are prepared to assist our patrons and respond appropriately when needed.
Our goal is simple: To provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone who walks through the gates of E.J. Mansell Stadium.

We are grateful to the many people who work behind the scenes to prepare the stadium, coordinate traffic and parking, support our athletes, assist our fans, and make Beaver Football possible.
We thank Athletic Director Andrew “Dew” Spicher, Assistant Athletic Director Amanda Rosman, and Event Staff Manager Andy Edinger, our administrators, coaches, staff, event staff, volunteers, transportation team, maintenance personnel, school, and community members for their dedication. Their commitment allows us to create a great experience for our fans while keeping our focus where it belongs: on our student-athletes and the pride they bring to our community.
